Primary reason for my five stars is their ridiculous hours; 6:30a to 9p EVERY day. My family got a random urge to fish on a Sunday night, I went in to get LIVE bait at 8pm; this wasn't a trip to Walmart Super Center to get a block of old frozen shrimp, this was fresh live bait late on a Sunday.

They have all the typical fishing equipment as well, and none feels particularly marked up; certainly not as expensive as West Marine, and while perhaps slightly more expensive than the big boxes and Amazon, I'd much rather give my money to a local business than either of those options since Amazon is just out to destroy all small business in this country.

      Keep up the good work.

I used to work for these people delivering pinfish the owner was cool as hell didn't have no complaints it's the workers that had the problem they don't know how to count and add up always saying I was ripping them off pinfish was missing I counted twice out in the water never miss count fishing employees at stealing from the owner but you got blinders on he could not see when you call ahead for orders in the employees never taken do it and then when you get there they shut off we didn't get that order they got to order but they just too lazy to put it in

Staff is helpful, decent selection of gear but one way to lose a loyal customer is not open on time! I watched the sun rise in their parking lot instead of on the beach because they're 30 min late to open the store! I guess it's a common problem. I've literally spent thousands in this store this year, and this type of stuff makes me not want to shop here anymore. Either hire someone new who's punctual, or pay these kids more so they actually care about their job.

These guys love to give advice on fishing and they know what they're talking about... Get there early before the live bait is gone!

We called ahead to see if they had shrimp and they said they did. When we arrived they said all they had were fiddler crab. Very disappointed

I am a snowbird visiting the St Petersburg Beach area for the second year and I am an avid fisherman. I visited this business previously last winter and since it was pre Covid so there were no issues. It's a good bait and tackle shop.

HOWEVER, they have a tiny hand written sign taped on the front door that says mask required BUT the last time I was in there customers were NOT wearing masks and the employees didn't say a word so I was forced to wait outside until the unmasked customers left.

Today there were no other customers in the store. When I entered there were two people inside, one behind the desk and one sitting in a chair. Neither had masks on!!

When I put my empty bait bucket down on the counter and I asked the man to please put on his mask very politely and he responded that he didn't have one!! WTF??

I then explained to him that I am old and very concerned about Covid. I then asked the woman in the chair to pull her mask up over her face and she bluntly refused!!

I was then told if I didn't like it I didn't ever need to return!! Nice customer service!! I spend a considerable amount of money visiting Florida for months and supporting all of the local businesses and I don't expect to be treated so disrespectfully!

I will NOT be returning there and if you have concerns about Covid or even about how you are treated and if your business is appreciated I would advise you to steer clear also!!

There are many bait and tackle stores in the area to chose from!! Thanks

Super friendly staff that is helpful. The prices are certainly reasonable for an independent bait and tackle shop.
They sell licenses, they have just about anything and everything you'd need for fishing, be it from the dock or in deep waters out on a boat.
Parking is a little tight in the lot, but not really a problem. Just a nice local shop.

One of my favorite stores in the are bc of the eclectic choices. You can buy bait to fish, fishing equipment, tee shirts and musical instruments! Where else do you have those options??

This is a great place for bait, gear, supplies, snacks and anything you need for your fishing day. The prices are very good, and their customer service is much higher than so many other competitors. It's so nice to really feel welcomed when you walk in, plus the conversation is always friendly and helpful.

Always a pleasure stopping here on the way to a nice day dropping a line!
